Here's my latest creation. I modified an old Atari paddle for use on the Vectrex and added an extra button and shift lever control which I was fortunate to find in my parts bin. It makes games like Hyperchase much more enjoyable. The lever shifts gears and also is used to select the number of players & game variation, eliminating the need to daisy-chain with a standard controller. Also works great for select homebrew games like Vectrace & Vaboom which were designed for use with the modified paddle.
Schematics for the modified Atari 2,600 paddle can be easily found online. For this project, I would also recommend cleaning or replacing the potentiometer as they are known to "jitter". Instructions for this can also be found easily with a simple web search.
You can also check my other video's for a full review on the Vectrex.
